PAPERLESS SOLUTIONS' HISTORY
Paperless Solutions was incorporated in 2003 after 18 months of software development and market research by brothers Michael & Robert Rice.

In a tiny 100 square foot office, Michael and Robert invented a scanning system that would convert all the paper documents into PDFs. Not only were the agent files digitized but the agent's clients received their documents on a custom branded CD-ROM with document links stored right along side the agent's website. AND the best part? The agent's picture appeared as an icon on every clients' desktop!

The marketing aspect of the CD-ROMs was so successful Paperless Solutions expanded into all industries and began offering additional marketing services; PPC Management - Pay Per Click ad setup, design and management. SEO - Website Search Engine Optimization. And Social Networking setup and training.

Michael Rice - CEO
Michael earned his B. S. in Finance and Real Estate from California
State University Northridge and started his career as a financial advisor
with both Paine Webber and PriceWaterhouse Coopers. He then established a successful career as a real estate broker for both Coldwell Banker and
Remax earning him several Top Producer awards during his seven years. In 2003 Michael and Robert teamed up to start Paperless Solutions.
Robert Rice - President & CTO
Robert earned his B. S. Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from California State University Northridge. After graduating on the Dean's List with special recognition for his participation in the College's Entrepreneurial Program, Robert jumped right into business ownership and never looked back! He has started, owned and operated many successful businesses for over 15 years. In 2003 Robert and Michael teamed up to start Paperless Solutions.

"In 2003 we recycled 15,000 pounds of paper which equates to saving about 125 trees, 1950 gallons of oil, 24 cubic yards of land fill space, 30,000 kilowatts of energy and 52,500 gallons of water! Now we recycle more than that every month! " - Robert Rice, Co-founder.

Internal operations are 90% paperless. Aside from the paper that comes in from customers, 90% of the internal operations is done without any paper: Paperless Billing/Invoicing/Accounts Receivable, Paperless Accounts Payable, Paperless Payroll/ Direct Deposits/Time Keeping. We print only what we must on the most environmentally friendly paper available. Then we shred and recycle it. |

Marketing is 99% paperless. Marketing is handled on the web and via word of mouth. |

95% of sales are handled without any commuting or any door knocking. |

Telecommuting 80% of the time. Employees that do not have direct contact with files telecommute to avoid unnecessary traffic congestion, pollution and burning of natural resources. |

If it can be recycled, re-purposed or reused that's what we do. When we out grow our computers, scanners and other equipment, we donate to businesses, schools and the elderly. Any thing that cannot be donated is recycled or disposed of with our environment in mind. |

Use of Electricity is minimized. All work stations sleep automatically after 10 minutes of non-use and are shut down completely when not in use. All hard drives & computer systems have an Energy Star 4.0 rating or better. All lighting used is energy efficient florescent. |

80% of our air conditioning needs are accomplished naturally with natural air flow. |

100% of our drinking water needs are fulfilled with filtered water & refillable bottles and glasses. |

75% of our garbage is recycled. |

Our alliance with UPS is green too. UPS aggressively pursues technologies and processes that save energy and natural resources while reducing emissions and other waste products. |
